Overview
About Me
I'm born and raised in the small diamond town of Oranjemund, Namibia. I spent 10 years living in Cape Town and Stellenbosch, South Africa. With a burning desire to see the world, I took a leap of faith and moved to Thailand to teach English. I'm a very laid-back, open-minded person looking forward to meeting and learning from people all around the globe. I love the idea of integrating with local people and experiencing life from their perspectives. My goal is to experience as much of every country I visit by going beyond seeing typical tourist attractions :).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To be honest I've always believed that I wouldn't be able to experience travelling any time soon due to the expense of it all, but thank goodness I came across Couchsurfing. Just the thought of it is exciting, because you get to stay with people who are kind enough to accommodate you and you get to experience culture from locals from whom you can learn so much!

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite music is really depends on my mood. I'm a big hip hop fan. I've recently gained an interest in Reggaeton and West African music. Favourite song of all-time... Jeff Buckley-Hallelujah.
I love Khaled Hosseini's novels. Also into books about spiritual growth (Just finished reading The Road Less Travelled).
My favourite movie of all-time would have to be The Lord of The Rings Trilogy. Also love the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, Harry Potter (Hufflepuff for the win:)), Gladiator, Troy, Signs, Apocalypto, Enter the Dragon.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I helped deliver a baby once...Well, the babies were puppies and it was my dog giving birth.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a listener so I really enjoy talking to people about their life experiences and picking their brain for advice and knowledge.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I come from a part of the world most haven't been to or even heard of so I'm always happy to enlighten others. I love conversing about the world and current affairs, but also like to kick back and just banter about silly stuff.
