ABOUT ME

I'm a social worker, about 5'6", and I have absolutely no ball skill/coordination whatsoever. That said, my friendly and inquisitive personality are usually more than enough to get along with anyone I meet and keep a bonfire conversation going long into the night.

兴趣

I spend a lot of time running. A lot. Preferably, I spend it running up and down hills, mountains, trails, and in the more wild places where I live, but its much more than a hobby. It would probably qualify as a lifestyle.

Aside from running, I love wine, reading books that test and stretch my mind in all genres, attempting to cook, finding new physical and mental challenges, lawn games, and learning about new people and places. If I didn't like the wonderful diversity of people, I probably wouldn't be a social worker, eh?

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

My most recent awe striking moment was when I ran up to the top of the mountain located closest to Boise for the first time. Seeing the planes circle for the airport below, seeing the roads, rivers, mountains, buildings and farms stretch miles and miles into the distance was incredible. I still run up there somewhat regularly to get a dose of that sense of amazement.

Another awe striking moment was opening my first bottle of wine that was older than me. The cork was an absolute bear, the wine was still tasty but a bit past its prime, but the experience of remembering all that was going on 35+ years ago when it was made, and realizing that it was already 10+ years old when I was born was pretty cool.
