Aloha!

For the past 4 years my occupation has mostly been farming, and before that was school stuff. Art and then agriculture. Now I work with teenagers in an after school program, and spend a lot of time making art and listening to music. I like to skateboard, surf, eat and make food, do a lot of swing dancing and generally dance. I also really like to play music.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was quite lucky to see many couch surfers come for a stay while I was living at a friends house, and every experience was excellent. It is such a nice way to travel and meet new people and places. I'm on the hunt for surf, and that's about it. I'd like to meet people, play music, and get to know the area, but mostly I'd like to be in the water for this trip.

Surfing, Surfing, Skateboarding, Sailing, Skiing/snowboarding, swimming, playing frisbee, playing music(piano, harmonica and jst learning the drums!), listening to music, writing, reading, Spraypaint, block prints, painting and many other artforms. Cooking, baking, crafting and creating. Cultures, humans, animals, all life and all interactions. Farming, permaculture, food foraging, herbalism, intuition, sustainable lifestyles, sustainable and supportive social systems - economies and government, change. I also really love ice cream.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music, all of it. Music from the heart. My most loved music comes from the roots of hip-hop culture. But I love all music, favorites right now are Knxwories, Mach Hommy, Westside Gunn and music from South Africa and Nigeria (40's-80's)

Movies: I don't watch too many movies, however Spike Lee and documentaries are what I've been watching recently.

Books: I have never been a huge reader, I always get distracted or want to go run around, but one of the greatest stories I read recently was The Education of Little Tree. Another recent favorite is The New Jim Crow. I am currently reading about 4 books and my list is long. I also love all of Kurt Vonnegut's work that I have read. And Winnie the Pooh is a classic.
