Music, Movies, and Books

Movies...I will never stop loving the following: Heavyweights, Sandlot, Hook, Emperor's New Groove, Goonies.

Music...let's focus on my favorite Pandora stations: Toto, Journey, the Eagles, James Taylor, U2, Seal, Sting, Stevie Wonder, and the Outfield. Not an exhaustive list, but hopefully this gives you an idea.

Books...I love C.S. Lewis books. I'll be honest, I usually like books if I push myself to start them, which is sadly rare.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

2009: Three years after serving an LDS mission in Hawaii, I returned to the islands for two weeks. I went to Kailua Bay. The sand + the green mountains enclosing the bay + the aquamarine water that went out till it met the sky + the wispy clouds = me sitting on my butt for three hours soaking all of it in.

2010: I was invited to a concert put on by the Legwarmers, an 80s cover band that travels around the east coast. I got a ticket last minute. Wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy it...2 minutes into the concert, I realized that I'd reached my id. It was euphoric, and I've seen them 5 times since then. It's never gotten less enchanting.

Teach, Learn, Share

Not to brag...but you know how some people can squirt water really high with their hands while they're in the pool? I keep wishing that there was a contest for that, because I'd sweep (squirt) the competition. Happy to share the knowledge if you want to know more.
