hello! my name is brady and i just moved away from montreal, quebec, where i finished my undergraduate degree. i am originally from vancouver, british columbia. i was a student in religion and middle eastern studies. i am currently in transition, with no solid home, traveling throughout europe. i have been traveling for a few months now and am continuing as long as i can, meeting people from all over the place, trying to pick up some languages, try new foods, and so much more.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

i thrive on wonderful encounters with strangers and i would love to make some friendships and connections as i fulfill my dreams of seeing the world! i find myself the most comfortable in an interaction with someone i don't know. what i love about couchsurfing is that i get to meet people i otherwise wouldn't know and have an opportunity to open up to them and learn from them.

Interests

i like to travel, have intellectually and politically driven conversations, learn about world religions and cultures, cook, drink coffee and beer, go to museums, sightsee, enjoy the outdoors, write and read poetry, and many more things. i am a really passionate, value-based person, and i feel really strongly about social justice issues and fighting inequality. the way to my heart is chips and other savoury snacks. i love spending time alone as well as with others. i am an extrovert at heart, but when i travel i am happy to do it independently.

Music, Movies, and Books

i enjoy all different types of music and love to go to shows. i like reading graphic novels the most, but enjoy some good fictional reads. i'm not a huge movie-watcher but i always end up liking them! i think i just have trouble committing to movies but in the end i am always impressed.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

one amazing thing i have done is hitchhike around the entirety of iceland in just seven days!

i like watercolour painting and collaging but just for fun - i'd love to share that with others. i am happy to practice languages. i love crafty things, cooking and baking.
