I grew up in Nashville, TN in the US. My mother's family is from Sweden and upon entering college, I found a great opportunity to study abroad near Stockholm for a semester. For the past five months, I have been in Sweden meeting countless amounts of distant family that I was never even aware I had. I've been traveling in Europe, meeting as many people as possible and enjoying every bit of before I have to return to my studies in the US.

I've heard about how useful this couch surfing website can be from friends and family. Since I feel able to sleep pretty much anywhere and love being able to meet new people from different sides of the world, it sounded like the best way to travel! So I decided that starting right after Christmas, I would buy a ticket to the south of Italy and try to visit as many counties and cities as I can on my way back up to Sweden, for the last two weeks of my time in Europe, while trying to use this couch surfing website.
