Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Right now, I'm just a beginner, but I LOVE the idea behind the CS Project because it shows that there are good, trustworthy, and generous people in the world and allows you to do more than connect with those people: it allows you to experience life with them. That's what I'm looking for in all of this: experiences not for their own sake, but experiences for the construction of a community of respect and adventure.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far my couchsurfing experiences have consisted of crashing at friends' apartments or an aunt's house. Definitely looking to spice it up a bit.
Oh! I guess this counts: I spent a year and a summer living with Japanese families through an exchange program.
Interests
Studying language: As you may have noticed I dabble in way too many for my own good. I'm sure I'll settle down and get fluent eventually.
Reading: Anything. :) But especially fantasy (Wheel of Time Series, Ender Series) and history-related books (historical fiction, biographies, Uncle John's Plunges Into History). Anything that gets the brain pumping.
The simple things: getting packages in the mail, thunderstorms, hayrides, movie theatre popcorn... things like those are what make life fun.
Dancing: I did ballet from 3 until 16, but now I enjoy contra, swing, and ballroom dancing.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Action all the way. (James Bond, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Ocean's 11.) Comedy and random cult films are fun too. (Pulp Fiction, Repo Man, The Grinch.)
Music: Love Irish rock, Latin dance, and Indian music. Rock, alternative, and jazz are up there as well. Basically anything I can dance or headbang in the car to.
Books: See above.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been in love.
If you like the band CAKE and know the song "Love You Madly" listen to it again and think about what that seemingly trite emotion can be.
I know it seems like a hopelessly romantic thing to say but sharing such a deep and joyful emotion is one of the most beautiful things in life to experience.
