Hi,

My name is Bram, I´m 20 years old and I live in Rotterdam. I´m studying Civil Engineering in Delft (3rd yr Bachelor). I am a drummer in a metal band, which my girlfriend thinks is a horrible genre of music. I live in Rotterdam so that I can live with my friends, even though that means taking the train to Delft every day. I've lived with 2 russian girls on their exchange for 5 months and because of them I've found that foreign people are interesting in ways you can't predict before you meet them. They will have different customs, values and etiquettes and you won't be able to tell in what way they differ until you discover them first hand.

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

I hear all the cool stories of my travel-addicted friends and notice they're all about the locals, how you only get the way a city works if you talk to the people living in it. I got curious. I haven't done Couchsurfing before (or hitchhiking, for that matter), but there's gotta be a first time for everything!

Interesses

All the free time I have is spent making music, because it's what I'm passionate about. I'm a drummer in a metal band, but also member of a student's jazz society. You might catch me listening to classical music or dubstep (only the melodic kind though), and I also like to grab an acoustic guitar and sing a few cliché songs once in a while. I might not have a splendid voice, but I love doing it anyway.

Metal and Prog stuff like Dream Theater, Opeth, Haken, Alter Bridge, August Burns Red, Avenged Sevenfold, Periphery, but also singer-songwriter kinda stuff like Ben Caplan, Blof, Ed Sheeran and Jason Mraz

Tenacious D and Steel panther always crack me up :')

Movies I was impressed by were Inception and the Imitation Game. I used to be afraid of horror movies, but I love 'em now. Dark Skies, Sinister and As Above So Below.

Love the Game of Thrones series. It's not an original thing to like anymore and it has become something non-sophisticated that way, but it's very enjoyable. Otherwise I'm not a big reader. I don't know what to like. Recommend me a book! ;) I seem to be the only person to not be crazed with Harry Potter, for some reason.
