About Me

I’m Bram. I live in Groningen, which is a city in the north of the Netherlands. I study History and Philosophy with a special focus on modern notions of time and progress. I’m really interested in peoples religions, cultures and political views. I’m really open minded and love to hear and talk about big ideas.

Other things I enjoy are walking, cooking and reading. Oh, and I play bass, sort of.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really belief everybody in this world has something interesting to talk about. Because I study at a dutch university I’m inside this eurocentric bubble. I hope that by hosting and surfing I can learn more about the world I live in and leave my bubble.

Music, Movies, and Books

So, I really love to read so picking my favorite book is quite hard but I’d go for Judas by Amos Oz or A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini.

As for music I mainly listen to classic music, but I am also a big fan of Leonard Cohen. But most importantly I’m really interested in hearing (to me) unknown music.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share some historic perspectives. Also I like to share my culture and my views but at the same time I really enjoy learning from different people.

What I Can Share with Hosts
