I am a 2 meter tall guy from the Netherlands. At the moment I am learning to draw and building an escape tour app with 3 friends! I used couchsurfing in the past to host and to visit people! Now I also want to draw or paint with people!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet people, draw with people. People who live in the city know things about the city you can't find on the web. Hopefully we can inspire each other!

Interests

I have been roadtripping with my friends through differents countries. We just buy a car for the summer and go with it and then sell it afterwards ;) we´ve been to England and to more Eastern Europe. Everytime I visit a new country with a new language I bring a notebook or buy a notebook there to write down all the new words I get to learn. Since a few years I discovered drawing so I am busy with that 😁

Music, Movies, and Books

I have lots of different music tastes, which also changed during the years but I will try to highlight a few I really enjoy or have enjoyed the most the last few years.

Tash Sultana - a young girl from Australia who plays kinda indie pop I first got to knew her through YouTube where I discovered her bed room recordings (although it isn't a bedroom haha or maybe a very big one) https://youtu.be/Vn8phH0k5HI
I also visited her as soon as she got to play in the Netherlands together with my mom and it was again a wonderful experience, everyone standing there watching, enjoying, listening her play were I shed a tear. Just wonderful :) I would recommend her to everyone

Second artist is dubFX also from Australia (maybe I should go there) dnb, reggae, beatbox and what more, he uses a loop station (just like tash) to create his music live on the street. I also first got to know him through YouTube( https://youtu.be/HKEmaPj935M)
I went to we are electric, a festival close to Eindhoven. Where I could enjoy his music live and I danced there with bare feet which felt amazing!! :))

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swimming in a (cold) mountain stream at the Olympus. The first second feels like ice cold spikes and when you relax into it, the spikes turn into a nice cuddle. 🥶
