About Me

About us:

We've been a couple since 2010. We love traveling. Whenever we have a few days off, we leave, hoping to discover something new. Our way of traveling is very rudimental, back to basics, in search of adventure and disconnection of the daily life.

This was our trip in Vietnam, it sums op very well who we are.

and this was our USA roadtrip:

She: Axelle is a very warm and social person. She loves connecting with people, she's very open and always up to learn something new. Her occupations are mostly sports (Running, Swimming, Taekwondo and Jumping (horseback riding)), she loves to cook (and I must say, she's very skilled aswel, which makes me a very happy man) and reading. Last but not least, she's amazing with animals.

Me: It's pretty hard to write something about how good of a person I am, but I think I'm okay. At least I tend to get along with most people, I like meeting new, interesting people, discovering new cultures etc. My occupations are: Sports (Rockclimbing, running, biking, swimming,...), Music (I play the guitar, piano and drums) and I've been gliding for a while aswel. Other than that, I love to eat, which turned out great, considering my SO's amazing cooking skills.

As a couple: We are very close, but yet again very open when we meet new people, especially during travels. We've been through many adventures together and know each other by heart, but there's always something new to discover.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As explained above or way of traveling is very back-to-basic. We're not the kind of people you'll find in a resort, lying next to a swimming pool all day. Couchsurfing fits perfectly in our traveling philosophy of trying to connect with "the locals". We want to see their country as they see it, discover the little pearls that makes their city or region their "home". These little things are often hidden for the large public, and are what makes this kind of travel so exciting and unique. Also, we like to meet new people, who maybe have a totally different way of living, opening up our view and perspective on life itself.

Interests

We love traveling (ofcourse); especially backpacking. Or occupations are the following (this is just a copy paste of the "about me" section)

Music, Movies, and Books

We both grew up with the Harry Potter series and are quite big fans. It's a youth thing that will never grow old.

Other than that, we love movies (mostly on the big screen), we go to the movie theater once a month. We like a large scale of genres, horror excluded. Bram's a big Tarantino fan. We also like the LOTR and Hobbit books and movies.

Books: We love to read, but lack the time. We pick up a book once in a while, but unfortunately not consistent enough
