I want to see more of the world, not just the touristic places that everbody visits. But actually see what life is like in different countries.

ABOUT ME

I have a relaxed attitude, I enjoy going out for a drink with people, but also really enjoy being on my own doing not very much at all. I really enjoy playing guitar, playing the piano and singing. I also do yoga, although I'm as flexible as a light post. Besides that I sing virtually all the time.

I can have a lot of fun hanging out with various people, but, for me, things get most interesting when conversations get more in depth and complex. Don't get me wrong, I can also enjoy casual conversations.

Besides this I am a PhD candidate in physics (mostly working with lasers).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can host people at my place. This could be anyone with any age, that doesn't matter. I actually don't have a couch that fits anyone taller than 1.50, but I have a separate matras, which probably is more comfy than most couches. ;)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The first one I had: I had a couple of hours to wait for my train in Paris and had no place to stay, so I slept on someones floor. Even though the floor wasn't too comfortable, it was a nice experience.

Later on I started hosting and hosted people from Brazil, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Spain, Slovenia, Poland, France, England and Scotland. I hope to expand this list.

Interests

If someone has some math or physics problems I could always try to help ;). Teaching some dutch, teaching basic guitar playing, singing for other people, cooking.

I can sing something :). I can cook for you. And of course have interesting conversations.
