About Me
I've been wanting to travel for what seems like forever. Instead, for the last 15 years I've worked and gone to school, and pushed travel to the side. I did spend 2 month studying abroad in Rome when I was 22, but that was a whopping 10 years ago! Since then, wanderlust has been a thing. As I age, I realize I no longer want things, I want experiences. I want encounters with other people around the world. I want new and foreign. I want to marvel at things again like a child does. With that being said, I'm a hard-core introvert with a bit of the social anxiety. However, I realize time is short, and I'm stretching my boundaries, feeling the fear and doing it anyways.
I am an editor for American Indian Republic, a Native American digital news platform and do freelance writing tasks when I can. I am also relaunching my wellness coaching business within the next few weeks.
On my free time I like to workout, write and hang with my chihuahua Shorty and friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I enjoy sleeping on couches. Hah! Kidding, kind of. I think it's a great way to meet people right in the thick of wherever I go, who are immersed and familiar with the culture and atmosphere. Not to mention, the potential for amazing new friendships.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love ALL kinds of music and surprisingly so, love lyrics in other languages that I can't understand. My favorite movies at the moment are 7 Years in Tibet, Hector's Pursuit of Happiness and Smoke Signals
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I participated in the North American Indigenous Games when I was 15 and won several bronze medals. It was held in Canada.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to write poetry- we can definitely share in that. Also, I love to be my awkward, funny self as much as possible. I usually bring that out in people also, so I hope I can provide that opportunity.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A quiet perspective and a listening ear. Oh and most importantly, friendship. If I friend request you DON'T be weirded out. I'm an introvert, remember? That's my hello!
