About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To figure out what the #$@& to do with myself

ABOUT ME

Existentially challenged but trying to improve myself in various ways. Looking forward to graduate school this fall (when I can become a host and return favors bestowed upon me), but trying focus on the present, as always.

PHILOSOPHY

I consider myself an easy-going person who subscribes to the idea that life is endowed only with the meanings we give it. This can sometimes be a struggle, and at others can be profoundly moving.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I nearly ran (over) a giraffe in Kruger National Park in South Africa. It sounds impossible, but it came out of nowhere (behind a huge bush/tree) and it bucked up in the air like a horse while simultaneously turning around, which was a very good thing, because it would have crushed my friends and I in the car if we had hit it. And we would have probably killed it, which would have really sucked too.

I also lived in Timbuktu for several weeks, and would have been there for two years except there were "terrorists" lurking about (supposedly).

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach knitting, tutor English and stare at a wall really well.
