Dancer. Current student at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Frequent traveler. By day I attend school majoring in Sport Medicine/Science, double minoring in Medical Anthropology and Chemistry on both the Pre-Med and Pre-PA tracks. When school is over I am reversing up to 40 hours a week as a latin dancer. I I will be Puebla Mexico for my first Professional Latin Dance competition this upcoming June 20-25th of 2017 and I am beyond excited.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a senior of UNC Chapel Hill there are scholarships/grants that we are offered to apply to and study abroad. This October of 2017, I will be applying to the Frances L. Phillips Travel Scholarship, which grants juniors and seniors the chance to engage in individual self-designed and directed international travel experiences for periods ranging from two months to six months. I am proposing to the scholarship board to accept me as there 2017-2018 recipient with aspiration to travel to 9 different countries throughout Europe for both dance education and to potentially gain more OR/clinical hours to make my application for PA schools stand out. I also aspire to travel alongside Doctors Without Borders and going through this experience will provide me with insight to traveling outside the U.S and working within other developing/developed countries.

In addition, I heard great things about couch surfing from friends and I decided to give it a try.

Teach, Learn, Share

I dance primarily latin (salsa, bachata, merengue, etc) jazz and contemporary I love to dance, and I am always willing to learn more everyday. Dance is an art form that continuously grows there is no stoping.

I'm looking to learn anything and everything new (especially languages) from those willing to teach.

And of course sharing travel stories is a must.

I am a loving, heartfelt, family oriented, giving person who so happens to be a dancer with big dreams. Teaching dance is one of my biggest passions especially one I feel as though I might be decent in. I could provide dance lessons if you'd be interested.
