My name is Brandon, I'm originally from Baltimore, Maryland, U.S.A. but currently living and working in Washington, D.C. as a communications and development associate for a non-profit organization. I am on Couchsurfing because I think this website presents people around the world with a great opportunity to not only travel but also meet some incredible people along the way. It seems from my past travel experiences that people love to travel but never meet or interact with the local people. Which for me is most important aspect of traveling because the people make the culture. It is the food, language, and tradition of the “people” which makes the house, neighborhood, and country. I also really appreciate that someone is willing to share their home with strangers! Through Coachsurfing many things can occur; I meet great people, exchange culture, and share life with another spirit.

Music:
I LOVE ALL GENRES OF MUSIC!!! I can vibe out to any kind of music. My favorite artists would be J. Cole and Logic, both in my opinion are just as equally great! Also, when I have down time, such as lesson planning I love to listen to NPR Tiny Desk which are mini concerts that can be found on YouTube or the NPR webpage.

Movies:
I like classical movies. My favorite movie(s) is the Godfather Trilogy because I think this movie shows what friendship, loyalty, and family is all about. But also gives us a great look into the struggles of immigrants during the mid 90's. Also, Troy is another one of my favorites, I have always found myself really interested in greek mythology. But I would like to say that DOCUMENTARY FILMS are the greatest pieces of work ever created, I love docs!

Books:
I love reading philosophical/political books. I am currently reading Voltaire's Bastards: The Dictatorship of Reason in the West. And next up is either the Art of War (for second time) or The Naked Communist.
