About Me

Hello, my name's Brandon. I grew up in the south of Australia where the desert and bush meet the sea. I love a good adventure along with a beer and I hope you consider meeting me :) .

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My favourite experiences while traveling have been the ones that involve talking with the local people, authentic food and locations that are not always on the tourist track. This trip I am meandering around Europe with my small backpack trying to uncover as many beautiful cultures, towns, villages and meals( I love food ) as I can and I think couch surfing is the perfect medium for this.

Interests

At home In Australia I love to surf with my mates and every weekend we pile into a car filled with surfboards, tents and cooking equipment and drive 100's of miles up or down the coast to camp at the bush beaches and enjoy life. Some of my other interests are food, wine, history, music and of course travelling.

Music, Movies, and Books

Book wise I love tales of explorers and recounts of history. I am passionate about live music and at home over the warmer months attend multi day festivals such as ''the Falls festival'' in Lorne on the great ocean road as well as ''Splendour in the grass'' in Byron Bay.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last year I took my first trip abroad in Nepal. My goal was to trek to the base camp of Mount Everest which after 14 days of walking I completed. Everything about that trip was eye opening for me from the vast poverty of everyday life to the majesty of the Himalayas.

Teach, Learn, Share

Any person that could share their love of cooking I would be most thankful. particularly local dishes. also I would love to learn much about the history of the places I visit and maybe even pick up a few phrases of the local language.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have travelled most of what is considered the Australian tourist track and I love sharing stories and tips with fellow travellers. I can cook and perform basic house duties if needed and I love long conversations and a laugh. Personally I pride myself on courtesy and if taken into your home I will be nothing but a gentleman.
