ABOUT ME

Hello. Most people would describe me as a cheerful individual who is quick to make light of any situation. I would say that this label is mostly accurate since taking life too seriously would make it incredibly boring. However, I do enjoy deeper conversations about more serious topics like the environment, the average American lifestyle, space, world events, and maybe a touch of politics.

As far as my background goes, I have had a formal education in Biological Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech which is the same as other engineering degrees with the added twist of using biology - plants, animals, microbes - as your tools. Informally, I have tons of experience in outdoor recreation as well as plenty of time spent in social situations - bars, concerts, hoedowns, etc. I have travelled around the US a couple times and have seen most of what this beautiful country has to offer. Unfortunately, I have not been outside of the country much, just one time to Canada. But I hope to change that with my current agenda.

Currently, I spend most of my time working outside on an organic farm. I supplement this physical labor with some intellectual stimulation in the form or reading books, observing nature, listening to Carl Sagan, and occasionally watching a documentary or Bruce Willis flick. Since it is now becoming too cold to farm in Minnesota, my new interest has become traveling.

I also enjoy riding my motorcycle on nice days, drinking good beer, and meeting new people who are not afraid to say what is on their minds.
