ABOUT ME
After graduating college, I was elected to the Eau Claire City Council and served 3 years until I left in August 2009 to attend Law School.
I believe in trying new experiences, and I plan to use my time in law school to do as much traveling as possible.
PHILOSOPHY
I was born to a 19-year-old single mother. I am a strong Progressive who believes deeply in social justice issues. I believe in national health care, equal rights, mass transit, bike trails, and sustainability.
On a person level, I believe sometimes the best way we can help someone is to just be there to listen.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: I love sci-fi/fantasy movies like Star Wars, The Matrix and Lord of the Rings.
Music: I'm a big 80's person. Journey, George Michael, Hall and Oats, Phil Collins, exc.
Books: I enjoy reading mostly fantasy novels and book about politics.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It might not sound exciting but the my best memories are of when I served on City Council.
I met a guy who wanted to operate a street vendor hot dog cart. I got the law changed to allow hot dog cart and 3 years later, I met him again. He was so thankful to be able to provide for his family.
Sometimes it's the "little things" that matter most.
Teach, Learn, Share
I don't believe teaching is one way, but I'd love to have a conversation about politics/philosophy.
I want to learn about other cultures/communities and values.
I'm always willing to share a pot of tea.
