Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
As a host, I'm just trying to pay it forward. I have been the recipient of such gracious hospitality while traveling, and I want to continue the positive culture that I've experienced through CouchSurfing. My hope is that I can enrich the experiences of travelers passing through and offer insights to those who are looking for more than the typical attractions featured on online travel blogs. (Spoiler alert, there's more to Japan than robot shows and anime)
As a guest, I want to see places from a local perspective. There is so much more to a place than TripAdvisor's top ten things to see, and CouchSurfing offers an easy way to dive right in.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I think one of the most amazing things I've experienced is the level of trust that CouchSurfers are able to have with each other, it's not only inspiring but continues to show that there will always be good people in the world.
Interests
I love food and the great outdoors.
Favorite activities include climbing, snowboarding, biking, and going to the beach.
Storytelling is one of the most amazing parts of traveling, and what makes Couchsurfing so interesting is the opportunity to trade stories with such a diverse group of people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Too many to pick just one!
Top experiences include rock climbing in Thailand and Vietnam, scuba diving in the Great Barrier reef, and being able to live in Tokyo
Teach, Learn, Share
When I was 18, I took my first big trip around the world for about a year. This taught me the importance of traveling and having experiences outside of my comfort zone. Since then, I've traveled to many places, and moved to Tokyo (where I currently live).
