About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Rebuild a supportive community (after traveling for the past 5 years) and prioritize the activities that inspire me. I'm settling down once again, but that's a relative term, as I still spend about 3 - 4 months a year traveling.
ABOUT ME
In early 2010, I made a big decision to leave a life that many dream of - the perfect job, financial security, an amazing community of friends and one of the best cities in the world (Portland, Oregon, USA). Leave it for what? Well, I wasn't really sure, but I just knew that I had a deeper calling and that it was time to follow it. I began my journey in May 2010 as a crew member of a sailboat across the Atlantic Ocean.
In the process of listening deeply, following my inner wisdom and letting go of the ideas holding me back, I have found a sense of happiness and fulfillment beyond what I ever dreamed possible. I frequently have to pinch myself to make sure I'm not dreaming! It certainly hasn't all been easy, but it's been such an amazing journey. Initially my focus was living abroad and exploring different parts of the world while slowing down, being present and living a more fulfilling life. Three years ago, I met my partner, Nancy, in Mexico, and after searching the world over, we decided to settle down in Mexico last year with her beautiful 7 year old daughter. I still travel about 3 - 4 months a year, but it's nice to have a home base once again.
PHILOSOPHY
Follow your bliss, whatever it is!
Take time to listen to your intuition and inner wisdom. We all have it. We just need to get quiet sometimes to listen to it.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music
It really depends on my mood, but I like everything from interesting electronic music to minimalist piano to American folk music. Some groups I like are Thievery Corporation, James Brown, Widespread Panic, Pretty Lights, Ludovico Einaudi, Deva Premal, Emancipator, helios, Michael Franti and lots of obscure bands.
Books:
More recent favorites:
- Not Until You Die by Nukunu Jorgen Larsen
- Alice in Wonderland - I never read it as a kid, and it really is an amazing book!
- Integral Spirituality by Ken Wilber
- Currently I'm reading the Continuum Concept which is about the wisdom of Indigenous people when it comes to raising children

Teach, Learn, Share
Teach
- English - I used to teach English to foreigners.
- Salsa dancing
- Meditation - I've studied a lot about Buddhism, meditation and spirituality, so I always enjoy sharing about that and learning about the experiences of others in relation to personal growth and spirituality.
- Small - Medium-sized Business Operations - I ran business operations for a quickly growing non-profit organization for 6 years and was in charge of all the accounting, human resources and technology. Currently I do business consulting for environmentally and socially responsible businesses.
Learn
I love learning about the history and cultures of places all over the world, spiritual and mystical traditions and new perspectives on life.
