I am a 22 year old man. I generally trust people. I always prefer avoiding real confrontation, though I enjoy lively discussion. I am mellow, and I enjoy drinking socially.

PHILOSOPHY

I must try to do the best that my talents enable me to do. I must not be afraid of failure. I will fail at some things, and I will succeed at other things. Not trying is failing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My father picked up a hitch-hiker on I-70 then brought him home when I was about 10. The man helped me with my chores around the house for a week. He never spoke, but he seemed nice enough. Then my Dad paid him for the help so the man could buy a bus ticket to where he was going, and he was gone. He helped us; we helped him.

I swam with a basking whale/shark(?) for half-an-hour while I was on vacation in Hawaii.
