About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To fit as many experiences into this life as we possibly can.
ABOUT ME
I am 25 years old, in grad school, recently married. I have degrees in history and American studies while my husband is a mechanic. We consider ourselves pretty chill people. We've got 2 dogs and a cat that are like our kids, and we either spend our free time taking her out or hanging out at home. When we're home, I'm usually either cooking or trying to do something crafty. Steven is usually killing zombies on the xbox. I try to keep a nice, clean house, but hey, if you have a dog/cat-hair phobia, this just isn't the couch for you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We've hosted once and still keep in touch with her.
We haven't *gone* couchsurfing yet, but we are looking forward to new adventures!
Interests
We bonded over being outdoorsy in central PA - we love camping and riding out in the woods and we're getting more into real hiking.
We also love food (even if it doesn't love us) and we're always up for going out for dinner and drinks.
I'm currently trying to learn how to be more crafty, so we'll see if that sticks haha.

Music, Movies, and Books
We think it's completely unfair to ask someone what their favorite movie is...it depends on the day and the weather and all kinds of things! Also, you should probably know, I am madly in love with Joss Whedon and all that he has ever done.
I read a lot of history books. Steven tends more towards sci-fi or fantasy. One of our favorite series is The Sword of Truth (but NOT that awful tv show.)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The coolest thing we've done so far as a couple was our honeymoon roadtrip down the east coast. We took a tour of the Everglades with Garl's Coastal Kayaking and actually suited up and waded into a gator hole, which was just incredible.
The coolest thing I've done without my husband was travel to Argentina with my college tour choir and share some awesome musical experiences with native Argentine choirs while getting to tour the country - including a horseback ride through the Andean foothills!
Teach, Learn, Share
Husband is a former music teacher and is always happy to discuss his work/give a mini-lesson to anyone who wants.
My academic field is US Foreign Policy history, specifically regarding genocide, so I'm always up for a discussion about that, though I know it's pretty dreary and depressing, haha.
We both also loving cooking and would love to share some experiences in the kitchen!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Central PA is full of outdoorsy wonderfulness. We live minutes away from Curwensville Lake, and easy driving distance from state parks, popular elk viewing areas, rope swings over the river, and general outdoor fun. We're also pretty conveniently located in relation to Interstate 80, making our town a lovely stop in between destinations.
