About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore as much of the world and myself as possible- all while getting my Master's degree!

ABOUT ME

Well, I'm a lot of things. I'm a friend, I'm a wife, I'm a foodie, I'm a music fan. I'm crazy about art. And food and wine. And travel. And meeting new people. My first month abroad getting my degree has been amazing. I love getting to know people and sharing a bit of my culture while learning as much as possible about others'. I play soccer, run, do yoga. I laugh perhaps a bit too much and smile much too much. But is that really a bad thing?

PHILOSOPHY

“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who'll decide where to go...”
Dr. Suess

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Because I live in a very small student dorm, I can't offer a very hospitable stay for potential surfers, but I can be the best surfer possible! I'll be happy to help in the kitchen or donate a nice bottle of wine for the occasion. I'd love to talk with you and hear more about you.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've slept on a lot of couches in my day but never through couchsurfing! My husband and I are poor graduate students now, so we'd love to try it, especially since we have good friends who have had great experiences.

That was Then. And Now? We've couchsurfed once in Bolotana, Sardegna. It was an amazing experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

The Artist, La Vita est Bella, Amelie, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Paulo Coehlo, Jane Austen, Atonement, Harry Potter series, Game of Thrones, Arcade Fire, Arctic Monkeys, Coldplay, Franz Ferdinand, Edith Piaf, Frank Sinatra, etc. etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm scared of heights, but I went ziplining across the jungles of Costa Rica. It was AMAZING!

Teach, Learn, Share

I've got some pretty good art historical knowledge! And I love editing English texts, so if you need a bit of help, I'm the woman for the job! My husband and I love to cook. We think we're good, and we hope you will, too!
