About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore USA

ABOUT ME

I am student of American studies who loves studying abroad and learning new perspectives. I'm 24 and I haven't done much couch-surfing so far. I love to be shown around by locals when I travel and I believe it is the best way how to get to know any place the best. I have spent spring term of 2013 studying in Vilnius, Lithuania and before I spent one semester studying in Istanbul, Turkey. I loved both places so much.

PHILOSOPHY

When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it. - corny but true

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My participation so far is very limited - I have couchsurfed only once, in east Turkey. Past few years I spent more or less travelling and studying abroad.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couch-surfed only once and it was nice and funny experience which I wish to repeat! I've met Czech guy, hosting me and my friend in Turkey, where he was for vacation with his friends. I believe that the world is full of surprises and CS is just helping them to happen.

Interests

Sports, music, art, Czech beer, basically anything interesting. I've been doing competitive ballroom dancing for over 12 years.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lately, I have been mainly reading articles for school, but I have been given a book by Orhan Pamuk, which I really enjoy. I love travelling with my Kindle, so I can have wider variety of things with me and can read what I just want at the moment. I have never read Harry Potter.
I love Pulp Fiction and Star Wars - at around 16years old I have done "Star Wars marathon" with my uncle and aunt, with a lot of food and drink watching it on projector. I prefer smaller art movie theatres, rather than big multiplexes.
I love music, but it pretty much depends on my mood and context. I can go from classical music, thru jazz, pop, indie to 80's rock. I have been to James Brown's concert, I didn't manage to see Michael Jackson live, but Sting is still on my bucket list!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Standing on the top of David Gareji mountain on Georgian-Azeri border, surrounded 360° by desert with setting sun. Passing the Bosporus on ferry, drinking çay, eating açma and watching seagulls. Swimming in the lake in the middle of Swedish forest. Being on the top of Eiffel tower.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can cook/teach cooking some typical Czech meals, I'm learning how to open bottle of wine with no opener, I teach dancing, I recently found beauty in throwing football. I can't sing.
