ABOUT ME

When we started CouchSufing we were a family, parents and two daughters, but the girls moved out and are here just for some holidays and weekends now. We love: painting, science, gardening, biking, singing (some of us), reading, travelling. We are well experienced backpackers. We traveled with our children to destinations like Sri Lanka, Egypt, Laos, Flores, South Africa, Mozambique, China, etc. mostly by public transport.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

we hosted a lot very nice persons/groups in the past years ...

In July 2009 we couch surfed 5 different hosts in Israel and all of them were great. It is the best way to get to know a country.
It was a wonderful experience!
In 2010 we couch surfed Ireland, in 2011 Ecuador and Slowenia. In 2012 we visited our couch surfing guests from India and surfed in Dubai and Sicily.

We didn't find hosts (and got few answers) last years in Miami, Costa Rica and southern Turkey.

Recently we got a little bit disappointed that too few people actually host. The balance between hosting and surfing is important - not for everyone, but in general - and Couchsurfing will only survive if you host too ... sometime!
