About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Helping people tell their stories

ABOUT ME

Greetings!!! Namaste :)

I couldn't think of a better way to travel than with my amazing partner and through a network of open and respectful individuals.

I work from home, run a business, love to dance, be fit and enjoy life.

PHILOSOPHY

"There is one Truth, the true knowledge of our being within and without which is the essence of all wisdom.

Through realising and spreading the knowledge of unity, the religion of love and wisdom, so that the bias of faiths and beliefs may of itself fall away, the human heart may overflow with love, and all hatred caused by distinctions and differences may be rooted out" - Hazrat Inayat Khan

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Housemate and I have a lovely place right in the centre of Fitzroy, Melbourne. We are both excited to meet interesting folk and make new friends through Couch Surfing :)

Our home doubles as a business which means we often have clients and associated people coming through between 10 am and 8 pm. The couch is a modular piece which connects into a relatively double bed sized layout.

Availability of the couch is a one or two night thing :)

Our household values consist of respecting everyones right to speak and not making insulting or derogatory remarks... it's kinda weird even having to say that, but you know just for the record!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Having hosted several folks over the years, I'm beginning my first overseas adventure and hoping to see many happy faces as I go :)

Interests

I have a total and absolute interest in the world full stop. If it's basket weaving and I don't know how to do it, cool show me.

Dance, culture and spirituality are big parts of my life.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love film, anything different; La Vie En Rose, The Fountain, Pan's Labyrinth, Saddest Music in the World, Three Colours, Triples of Bellville, Baraka, The Explorers, Ong Bak, Amelie, Road to Perdition, Dark City, Death to Smoochy, 80, 000 shots, Shipbreakers, Smoken Aces, Tank Girl, Carlito's Way, The Killing Fields

I'm a ridiculous music fan; several years of dance parties prior, symphonies, occasional opera, soul, jazz clubs, folk, world music, metal to techno. I see as many live performances as I can, festivals and pub gigs, solo cellists, last night of the proms to 33 1/3 parties. PBSFM.org.au and ledjamradio.com are pretty awesome.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I really got a lot out of seeing the Taj Mahal, and after hearing people tell me the Rainbow Serpent festival was 'magical' and me thinking it was a silly adjective for years, I went and realised they were true. Burning Man here I come.

Teach, Learn, Share

We've got enough sociology, environmental and business reading in our house to keep you busy for a good few decades :)

No idea where to start, we can play twenty (or two hundred, or two thousand, whatever ha) questions.
