About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Just returned home after 15 months traveling through Australia and New Zealand. On the mission to find the perfect employer while going climbing and bouldering often.
ABOUT ME
I am 28 years old and just got back from a long journey. Before that, I finished my Master's Degree in Psychology in Lund, Sweden, and Vancouver, Canada. I enjoy being back home to spend time with friends and family while I also miss the van life in New Zealand. I am here to make new friends, exploring new cultures, learn new things and constantly broaden the perspective.
I am addicted to bouldering and try to go 4 times a week. Also, I am interested in global politics, shared economy, tech trends, innovative green business trends and inspiring travel stories.
I am convinced that you can find something interesting in everyone, and traveling allows me to find out what it is.
I am happy with my life and stoked to be hosting again with my girlfriend Jo (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/shinymojo)
PHILOSOPHY
I like to listen. I hope we can meet and share our views on certain things. Always interested in nice discussions and thoughtful questions. I value health over impulsivity and time over money.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
CS is a great opportunity to socialize and to learn. Many of us know how it feels like to travel on a small budget and how grateful it can be to meet a local or even stay with one. It should not be about the money. My experiences so far showed me that there are so many like-minded people in some ways and completely different in others. CS provides a platform to get to know those similarities and contrasts. I am very grateful for the connections and experiences I have made and would like to get to know more people.
Hosting and Surfing is an ideal way to learn about what peoples life in another part of the world is like. What do they like and dislike? How is it like for you to live this way? What gives you Joy everyday? All these questions are truly interesting to me, and their answers tell me 1000 times more about how a place is like, than any guidebook out there.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far, very good. My first experience in Indonesia, and I am still in good contact with her (7 years later). I am looking forward to many more experiences to come! Just back in October 2018 I met again with two of my old Couchsurfing friends from 2012 in Bangkok. As if 7 years did not change anything. I love it.
Update: During our trip in Australia and New Zealand we couchsurfed a lot as well and it was superb.
