I am an artist living in New York City. I grew up in Dallas, Texas, but have been in New York for over 10 years. Art, yoga, surfing, and snowboarding are very important to me. I balance my life with these other things as well: good food, biking, meditation, traveling, animals, great friends, wonderful girlfriend, concerts, and running a summertime gallery in my beach neighborhood - The Rockaways!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travel a few times a year for work and it is always more exciting and interesting to connect with locals as opposed to checking into a hotel or hostel. Couchsurfing also helps my travel budget go a lot farther, of course!

I would love to be your art tour guide of New York City or recommend some interesting things to do off the beaten, tourist path.

I don't have room to host right now, as I'm in a tiny 2 room apartment. I will be moving into a bigger place in about a year though, and would love to host you then.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've stayed with people in Nashville, Boston, and Brussels. They were all awesome experiences and I'm so grateful for the generosity of my hosts! I also had an amazing experience meeting up with 2 people in Little Rock, Arkansas. I was given a biking, hiking, and ice cream tour of the city!

I don't watch a lot of movies or TV, but Wes Anderson is a movie God.

I read mostly non-fiction. I love biographies and memoirs.
