About Me

I'm a college student studying conflict resolution and peace building at an international university in Hawaii. I work as the communications director and graphic designer for a local NGO working to increase Intercultural understanding in the culturally diverse communities of Oahu, and hope to continue working with nonprofits around the world throughout my life. I'm passionate about humanitarian work and human rights and I love getting to know people from different cultures and walks of life.
I love nature and spend all my free time outdoors! I sleep in my hammock on the beach more than I sleep in a bed, and I'm convinced that it's impossible to have a bad day after watching a sunrise.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a lot of classic rock and have been on a Fleetwood Mac kick lately! I love all music and especially enjoy listening to live music. I also enjoy singing and playing the guitar/piano.

I fall asleep in movies...

There are towers of books stacked in different corners of my room. Because they wont all fit on my bookshelf.
Historical fiction is my favorite genre, and Khaled Hosseini is one of my favorite authors.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In May 2015 I Hiked to Uhuru Peak- the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania Africa (I was living in Arusha for a few months while volunteering in schools and orphanages.)
It was unbelievably beautiful and completely life changing!
