About Me

Hi, I am from a small island off the coast of Ireland. I grew up there, left to go to University and returned 12 years later to live with my two children. I built a house , met Pat and settled down......for a while! I have itchy feet so I went to live in Sweden for four years with Pat and now we are travelling for 11 months. We plan to move back home at the end of July.
We both love nature and enjoy hill_-walking. I like to swim and read. Pat likes skiing, jogging and playing golf. And of course travelling is high on the priority list. We enjoy socialising ut are also quite happy to chill on the sofa.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We´re travelling for 11 months and have done four workaways so far. However, when we go to Central America we plan on staying in places for only a few days and workaways often have a minimum requirement of a week, or more likely two. We recently met two couchsurfers at a place we were staying and they told us about it. Seems like it could be a good match for us. We love meeting new people and are interested in different cultures and this seems like a great way to do that.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have to say I love 80´s music. I will listen to almost anything but am very bad at remembering who sings what.
My favourite movies are Stand By Me, Shawshank Redemption, A Few Good Men, Sliding Doors and a very good Irish movie called Inside I´m Dancing.
Like my music, I´m pretty much open to reading anything. I prefer fiction and am not into philosophy. The best books I have read are probably The Power of One and Kane and Abel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I guess the most amazing thing I´ve done is what I am in the middle of right now- my world trip. We started in Asia, then Australia, Hawaii, California and we are now in Mexico. We have met so many fantastic and interesting people on our journey and we still have a few months to go. We have seen many places and learnt a lot about different cultures. Bring on the rest!

Teach, Learn, Share

I´m not sure what I am supposed to put here.

What I Can Share with Hosts
