About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My mission is to have the most joyous life possible and to help others to do so as well!

ABOUT ME

I am an uplifting, positive, ray of sunshine. I am flexible, creative, easy going, thoughtful, giving, considerate, open minded, open hearted and loving. I can be depended on.

PHILOSOPHY

Our world is a reflection of ourselves, it's simply a mirror. What you see is what you are.

I'm grateful for seeing love and beauty and for trusting in the universe and mankind.

Life is good. Grateful I created it that way.

I'm grateful. Grateful to be healthy and alive and feeling good and grateful for every single good thing in my life. I acknowledge my gratitude dozens of times a day. I talk to the sun and the moon and the food before I consume it.

I am pretty much in the moment most of the time, I think this is the key to my happiness.. I am where I am, not wishing I was somewhere else.

I see the good in people, and situations. There are not many people, places, foods, or situations that I dislike.

I'm creative, colorful and LOVE to dance. I like skipping down the street and my usual greeting whether in person or on the phone is 'Happy Day"

Life is not about me. It is about love. Love and acceptance of self, love of others, love of everyone as part of the one. We truly are all one. Like blood cells in a vein, that is how I see the human race. Same same, but different.

Life IS good. You just gotta know how to make it that way and know that YOU are the one who does or does not make it that way. Take responsibility for how you feel, you created it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I don't have a couch to share, as I live behind my shop/gallery in a very small living space. But I am happy to show people around, cook them a meal, share a cup of coffee, and share my little piece of paradise with everyone in whatever way I can! I have no spare bedroom, no couch at all, no spare room at all, really ~ our grandson sleeps literally under our bed when he comes to visit ~ it is a bit of a raised bed, but still...) I have also given up my bed when out of towners were desperate, so I gave them my bed and I slept elsewhere.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My husband and I surfed a few times together and very much enjoyed each and every experience. I surfed as well after I became widowed, and was grateful to have a safe haven and meet new people. I think the whole world would benefit from opening their homes, their minds, their souls, to be shared with others.

Interests

Walking, meeting new people, dancing, painting, writing, travelling, exploring. BEing.

The four agreements. The fifth agreement. I AM. Peace is the way.

anything uplifting which expands my mind in a positive way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Rafting down through the Grand Canyon 230 miles on a 21 day trip with friends ~ awesome, inspiring, spiritual, a gift!

Trekking solo in the Solo Khumbu region of Nepal near Mt. Everest ~ powerful, inspirational, exciting!
Mother earth, mother nature, they are unpredictable, incredible, beautiful, perfection!

Volunteering on Koh Phi Phi, an island in Thailand, just weeks after the '04 tsunami hit SE Asia. It was an amazing lesson in resilience, the human spirit, how one person really can make a difference.

Teach, Learn, Share

I share my experience of the effect of positive thinking and how it enhances our lives. I share my belief in gratitude, at all times, for all things.

I am open to learning new ways of being and becoming the best possible version of myself, and helping others do the same.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my positive vibe, my ability to integrate into a household conscientiously and be part of a space with respect. I pretty much live on oatmeal every morning for years, and always come prepared to cook for myself and hosts and whoever else happens to be in the household. I'm also happy to cook simple vegetarian meal, which I come prepared to cook each night of my road trips.
