Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Our young-adult children, both avid couch-surfers, keep telling us we really ought to give it a try. So we are giving it a go, both hosting and surfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have, without being a member of this site, stayed in various friends/friends of friends and families houses over the year. Hosted various friends / friends of friends / families over the years. We have now couch-surfed in Alaska, and ready to host couch surfers at our home.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We traveled to Tibet in 1997 and spent a week there. We kept running into this little monk who was about the same age as our daughter. He kept inviting us to go with him. We finally did, and now he is the central part in mamy of our most treasured memories about Tibet.

Teach, Learn, Share

We can share quite a bit about Chinese, Tai Chi, gardening, karate, Hawaii, Alaska, China, Hong Kong, Utah .... and we are eager to learn more about other parts of the world that we are not so familiar with.
