ABOUT ME

I love to laugh, have fun, explore and meet new people. I'm finishing up a year living and teaching English in Surabaya, Indonesia. I'm planning to visit Australia for about a month. Not really sure where to go and how to get around the massive country, but I'm sure it will be a new adventure!

PHILOSOPHY

Well I guess basically I think that people are people. Meaning that wherever you go, you will find amazing people living life to the fullest extent. Making the best of what they have and hopefully helping others that they come in contact with. I try to live by the golden rule. Treat others the way you would like to be treated.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've met other couch surfers along my travels. everyone always had positive things to say about it, so i thought I'd give it a try. I joined a couch surfers group here in Surabaya. I met lots of amazing locals.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This will my first official couch surfing experience. I'm hoping to meet some cool locals, who will show me their city and give me pointers of where to go and things to do.

I love movies that make me think and laugh (I love to laugh;) I like all kinds of music, but I guess I'm a big fan of indie, college music & alternative. The only music that I haven't learned to love is country music. I love reading. I've been reading tons of classics and traveling books. Huge categories, but here are a few of my favorites.
Movies: Fight Club, Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, Dazed and Confused, Amelie, Y tu Mama Tambien, Zoolander, A Bronx Tale, Requiem of a dream, Princess Bride.

Music: The Shins, Death Cab for Cutie, Beck, The White Stripes, Bright Eyes, Commom, Fiona Apple, The Frames, Modest Mouse, Nina Simone, Snow Patrol.

Books: Love in the Time of Cholera, Catch 22, The Picture of Dorian Gray, 1984, A Brand New World.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I loved sky diving. Only been once at home in Alaska. It was a rush! I wanted to do more jumps and get certified. I also went para gliding in Colombia. Also fabulous. I guess I love heights and the adrenaline rush!

Teach - I can make a mean grilled cheese sandwhich (the secret is tons of cheese).

Learn - Play the guitar (been teaching myself, making very slow progress).
