to love and nurture my tomato plant-to-be, to protect it from the vicious clutches of possums, snails and aphids, and dance around the vegie patch at every picking

ABOUT ME

You know that feeling when you have to concentrate so hard to figure out how to be polite, because the situation you are in and people you are with are so far from anything you have ever known that you are in the "there be dragons" part of the map? I love it. As awkward or uncomfortable I might feel at the time, there is something so invigorating about having my world view challenged, shaken around a bit.

I believe comfort and convenience are traps that blind you to the deep joy and inspiration of a gritty and unpredictable life.

Interessen

Playing circus with friends (especially acro-balance and especially on lush grass, in a patch of shade, on a stinking hot afternoon).
Walking or riding along a really noisy, busy street and singing on the top of my lungs.
Camping, walking, having picnics, floating down rivers, climbing trees, watching all the incredible beings that travel our skies do their thing.
Reading, writing, imagining that I am good at growing vegetables, learning about languages.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I would like to learn how to build a home, out of clay, or straw bales, or recycled treasures. (Is that too specific ;-)

I could teach you basic acro-balance or hula-hooping!
