Brendan: I'm from southern California. I've traveled around and lived in a few different countries, but now I call Taitung home. And a beautiful home it is! I love outdoor activities, sight seeing, and enjoying the Pacific Ocean. As a host, I can spend days and weekends with guests or set you up to explore on your own.

Grace: I am from Kaohsiung, Taiwan and speak fluent Mandarin and English. I graduated from Taitung National University but now am studying in Hualien at Dong Hua University to earn my teaching degree. I enjoy teaching, outdoor activities, cooking, and learning about different foods and cultures. Also, I'm learning to play the ukulele. Nice to meet you!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Brendan: I served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Albania for 2 years.

Grace: I've been zip lining through the rain forests of Chiang Mai, Thailand.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can offer or arrange transportation to the train station and around the area. We can share local knowledge, offer contact references, and serve as a personal guide for many of Taitung's outdoor activities and sight seeing locations. We hope that our guests will be willing to spend time with us and explore the area a little. Sitting in our apartment too long might feel confined and boring.

*The apartment is a little isolated, it is not within walking distance from the city or train station. It's a 10 minute drive to the nearest store, restaurant, or local transport. Guests will need to rely on us to give them a ride, or they can rent a bicycle, hire a taxi, or do some long distance walking if they want to explore on their own.*

**We are busy with school/work Monday-Friday from 2:00pm-9:30pm, so guests will be on their own during those times. Mornings and weekends are free for us to spend time with you.**
