About Me

I recently moved to Driggs from Western Massachusetts where I was in graduate school. I work at a little non-profit here in Driggs that focuses on environmental issues. I moved out here for all the outdoor opportunities, I'm a big skier and hiker but I'd like to get more into mountain biking, fly fishing, etc. FYI I have a dog, she's very sweet but she might bark at you at first for about 5 minutes before becoming your best friend, so if you have dog issues this wouldn't be a good fit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm new to couchsurfing, however I have traveled extensively and am kicking myself now for not taking advantage of such a great opportunity to not only save money but meet new people. I guess my goal is that in the future I would like to travel as a couchsurfer more. The other reason I'm on couchsurfing is to meet new people, help them out on their travels, and show them Teton Valley. It's such a great place and for once in my life I actually have an extra room to share with visitors, so you don't have to sleep on an actual couch. Update 5/16: My spare room is being rented for the time being so all I can really offer right now is a cot on the closed in porch or camping space out back and use of the kitchen and bathroom.

Interests

Skiing, hiking, camping, music, playing guitar, dogs, history/heritage/historic preservation, cooking, really want to get into home brewing and fermentation/canning.
