Born and raised in the captivating islands of Hawaii, my connection to the ocean runs deep. As a certified sailor and dedicated explorer, I've sailed the Pacific waters, soaking in the breathtaking sunsets and the rhythmic melody of the waves. Combining my love for the sea with my desire to connect with people from all walks of life, I've opened up my boat as an alternative and exciting accommodation option for those seeking more than just a place to sleep.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During my travels, I had the incredible opportunity to venture far from the shores of Hawaii and immerse myself in the raw beauty of Tanzania, East Africa. One of the most unforgettable experiences of my journey was embarking on a safari adventure in the renowned Mikumi National Park.

Surrounded by vast savannahs and embraced by the African wilderness, Mikumi was a world away from the turquoise waters of my usual home. The park's diverse landscapes, from open plains to acacia woodlands, hosted a captivating array of wildlife. From the graceful giraffes elegantly moving through the foliage to the mighty elephants sauntering across the open plains, every moment felt like a scene from a documentary brought to life.

The heart-pounding excitement of spotting lions lazing in the sun or witnessing a herd of wildebeests on the move was a humbling reminder of the untamed beauty that exists beyond our familiar horizons. The sunrises and sunsets painted the sky with hues of orange and gold, casting a spellbinding atmosphere over the land.

But it wasn't just the sights that left a lasting impression; it was the connection to the natural world that resonated deeply within me. Sharing this experience with fellow travelers and guides who shared their knowledge and passion for the region's ecology enriched the journey even further.

As a boat-surfing host in Hawaii, my experiences in Mikumi National Park have enhanced my understanding of the importance of preserving our planet's incredible biodiversity. Just as I invite guests to connect with the ocean and its wonders in Hawaii, my time in Tanzania serves as a reminder of the need to respect and protect the diverse ecosystems that make our world so extraordinary.
