About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To live happily. Be productive and learn. I try not to think too much about it, otherwise. I try to do those two things on the day to day.
Oh ... hey, and since CURRENT MISSION pops up first, my Facebook is Brendan Lattin. I'm not verified because I don't want to give couchsurfing my credit card number. Let me know if there's anything I can provide you, if you still think I'm an axe-murderer.
ABOUT ME
Pretty interesting conversationalist, at times. Good sense of humor. Fairly trusting. Open to experience.
PHILOSOPHY
Hmmm ... I think philosophically ... but have no catch-all rubric to describe how I see the world. I'm open to new-ideas that seem to bear some level of truth. But, I am always open to changing my mind when I make a new discovery, I suppose. I have principles and ideas that I believe to be true, but that's about it. I suppose, in general ... love people and be nice if possible. Cultivate life and reduce suffering. That's about my only real "Life Philosophy."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I haven't really had a lot of Couchsurfing experience. I've had some people stay with me before. The chaps from England were nice enough to fill me in on what a person should expect, good etiquette, etc. I don't participate much. I will probably do that more when I need a place to stay!

Music, Movies, and Books
Amusing Ourselves to Death and Blood Meridian changed my way of thinking. I really enjoying Confederacy of Dunces. I need to read more.
I like a lot of movies for different reasons. I loved There Will Be Blood and I'm willing to sit through a Fellini, but I also love The Avengers or maybe a Disney Movie. It's either entertainment or it's otherwise mentally stimulating somehow.
Casablanca is an absolutely amazing movie.
I liked punk when I was young. Now I kind of come up with trippy songs on my acoustic and do a lot of things on the electric ... like, kind of a mash of Grunge-Midwest-Indy, and Power-Pop.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I worked in the social services for ten years.
I saw a baby being baptised with whiskey in Guatemala.
I think I saw a ghost, once. Maybe. I'm not sure.
I've done a lot of things ... maybe not all worthy of a "Do the Dew" commercial, if you get the reference.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a really good English Teacher. I've done it for about three years and I love it!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Just be clear about what you expect, if you want something and I'm totally reasonable. Otherwise, maybe a meal? Drinks on me? I can clean up.
