I am a PhD student in Electrical and Computer Engineering at The Ohio State University. I started in Fall 2018 after receiving my Bachelor's degree in May 2018 at New Mexico Tech. I am very passionate and goal-oriented. My goal in pursuing my doctorate is to expand my mind and satisfy my scientific curiosity. I wholeheartedly believe in the following quote: "Knowledge is power. Information is liberating. Education is the premise of progress, in every society, in every family."

Traveling is one of my passions in life. I want to learn as much as I can about the world and broaden my cultural understanding. New challenges and experiences are excellent ways to shift your perspective, which I believe can lead to a fulfilling and enriching life. One of my favorite experiences while traveling (and in general!) is trying new food. The best way to expose yourself to a new culture is to try their food! I also love outdoor activities such as hiking and biking. My favorite travel destinations are Salzburg, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Paris, and the whole country of Iceland.

So far, I have visited 14 countries. I'm hoping to add as many countries as possible to this list as possible. I have visited 35 US states and would like to see all 50 states.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to get involved in the Couchsurfing community because I think it is such a cool concept! I want to be able to meet new people in other cities as well as open my place up to people that are stopping by my home town. I think living like a local is a wonderful way to immerse yourself in a new culture and Couchsurfing is a great tool to do that.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I have played 4 different musical instruments in my life (guitar, piano, drums, and trumpet) so I know enough about them to get someone started. I just got my bachelor degree in electrical engineering so I know quite a bit about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Learn: I'd love to learn more about photography and cooking.
