Hi!

My name is Brendan, I'm 25, and I live in Vienna, Austria.
I work as a PR consultant and social media editor for a small firm and as a freelance translator. My mom is Irish and my dad is Austrian, so I speak both English and German as my native language. I also speak a little bit of rusty French. I'm currently working on my masters in translation sciences.

I'm an avid traveler and I've been to 30+ countries. I lived in Seoul, South Korea for a year and absolutely loved it.

My girlfriend, Erika, thinks that my Australian accent is absolute garbage, but I think it's decent. I'd like to convince you of it!

I love coffee, good food and -- most importantly -- beer. I've drank over 250 kinds of beer and I'd love to discover local breweries -- maybe your neighborhood brewery is next?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here because I wanna see the world. And what better way than to connect with locals? I've made some great experiences bumping into people in foreign places. I've seen places I never would have seen, eaten things I never would have eaten and drank drinks I never would have drunk. I'd love to do exactly that in your country!

I like heavy music as well as jazz. There's little I don't like. My favourite band of all time is Mastodon.
I'm an avid movie watcher and I can name 80 % of the actors. Best movie ever: Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in South Korea for a year and taught English to little kids. It was amazing. I was impressed by them every day.
