About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore the world! Starting with Europe.

ABOUT ME

I am someone who is willing to try anything. I seek adventure and look forward to meeting new people and having once-in-a-lifetime experiences in the years to come. I live in the present and try to live each day to the fullest. I look for the best in people and believe in the good of humanity rather than the bad. My family, friends, and faith are my inspiration and have shaped me in more ways than they know. My home is not where I live, but the people whom I love and care for. The world is my home, but there is much left to explore. I can't wait to see what obstacles and opportunities I am faced with as I grow older. I am a vegetarian, I can't smell skunks, and I love to travel. Several years ago, I got involved with a jump roping team that has taken me all over the world, including England, Africa, Bermuda and Germany, where my team and I go to teach for several weeks each summer. I have gone to fantastic places, met countless friends all over the world, and have become a teacher of the sport. I lived in Germany for 2 years when I was younger, but unfortunately remember little German. I speak Spanish and English, but can get by in German. I hope to learn at least two more languages. I recently graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where I studied Biochemistry and obtained minors in 2-dimentional Media Design (Drawing, Painting, Photography), Spanish, and Molecular Biology. My life is falling into place, but change and new experiences are always welcome, I am only 22 after all.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is good! Carpe Diem!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am relatively new to couchsurfing still. But, I plan on helping out with hosting as well when I get my own place!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had some amazing couch surfing experiences so far! I was hosted in Paris, Salzburg, Vienna, and Zurich. I was able to get some great insights into the areas and made some great new friend. I have stayed with host families all over the world and the United States and have loved getting to know my hosts and staying in touch with them. It is great to learn from them and learn about the culture of the location. I have also hosted many people involved with jump rope. My family also hosted an exchange student from Jordan for six months. I loved learning about her culture and becoming friends with her.

Interests

I love to do art. I like drawing and photography, but my favourite art form is painting. I like to create and invent things. I love reading, gaming, and watching movies. I have always been an outdoors person and enjoy hiking and bike rides. I participated in Club Gymnastics and Quidditch, did research in the biochemistry department, and was a part of a fraternity at Miami University. Jump roping has been a huge part of my life as well. I have been with my team of around 60 members for 11 years now and done so much nationally and internationally with them. It is a great way to exercise as well as making friends and using my creativity. It is a passion that I will always have. I've recently gotten involved in rock climbing and have loved the experiences I have had with it thus far! I love to travel and see the world. I love music in a variety of forms. I will always love hanging out with my friends. Anything I do with them is fun.

Music, Movies, and Books

Harry Potter! I like most books.
I love watching movies of all sorts.
I listen to alternative music and whatever is on the radio, but I am open to most types of music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing experience that I have had was when my brother, uncle, and I climbed to the top of Mount St. Helens in Washington. It was an intensive climb, including rock climbing, forging our way through a forest, and sledding down the snowy mountain on trash bags. Another fantastic moment was when I participated in the New York Macy's Day Parade, which is televised all over the United States on Thanksgiving Day. I was invited to jump rope for the show and spent several months training for it. We performed with big-time musicians and performers and got the chance to meet many famous people.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Bermuda, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States
