About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To find out how many cultures I can experience in my lifetime... Travel cures what ail's ya..
ABOUT ME
I'm an easy going bloke with a good sense of humor. I'm a firm believer in the principle of broadening your mind via travel, and find it hard to understand close-minded people. At times mature, often not, I enjoy the company of a party-goer and reserved individual all the same. I'm easy to get along with and can't wait to meet some international travelers, and hear the stories they have to tell.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm about being getting what YOU want out of life, not what someone tells you that you should be getting out of it. Do what makes YOU happy. I'm also a firm believer that others should be treated with respect. A smile, a please, or a thankyou - these things don't cost a cent, but make a huge difference.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'll be trying out some couch surfing with a mate when we travel to Canada in January 2013, and am willing to put up a bed for anyone who wants to experience a part of Australia that's not included on any tours. I was a chef for five years, so a decent home-cooked meal is not out of the question.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far I've only met couch surfers that have stayed at my mates' house, but would like to try it out myself sometime soon, both hosting and surfing.

Music, Movies, and Books
I've got a fairly varied taste in all aspects, but am partial to a good comedy flick, fantasy novel, or a good combination of bass, guitar and drums.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Boarding a plane for my first international trip alone. Man, was I nervous. I didn't know how I'd cope. Less than 24 hours later, I couldn't imagine it any other way. A quiet, reserved and shy person, I was forced out of my comfort zone, and yet, it was the best time of my life. I'm still at times quiet, but kept a part of that holiday with me.
Teach, Learn, Share
I speak fluent Gibberish, can count, and know not to spend half an hour in a duty free store when your flight leaves in 20 minutes.
