About Me
Hi everyone - I am a traveler who has settled down in Antigua Guatemala. I work as a mountain bike guide and run the bicycle shop in town Old Town Outfitters. I am happy to finally be able to offer a place to stay. With over 5 years riding / guiding in Guatemala I can help you plan your routes through this beautiful country / and help you plan your adventures here.
I live about 2km outside of town in a humble two bedroom apartment. The good thing is that I have a yard and it is quiet at night.

2010 - Crossed Central America by bicycle (road)
2013 - Drove my motorcycle to Guatemala from Colorado

I grew up in Vermont, where I started working on music from a young age. I moved to Brooklyn in 2006 and built a recording studio in Brooklyn called Abstract Rhythm. I freelance as sound engineer for bands, events and corporate functions. On my free time, I get outdoors as much as possible.
I enjoy rock climbing, mountaineering, traveling by bicycle, Skiing and Snowboarding, design and photography.
PHILOSOPHY
Not to necessarily assume one particular way of doing things is correct or wrong. Not to allow my life and experiences to be controlled by fear. Once I think i have trivialized the workings of the world down to a certain philosophy, my attitudes change and my optimism dwindles. If the character of the world is to amaze why not simply embrace it in all ways?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Surfing - and sharing my love for the outdoors
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I Traveled across the united states with my friend Dave Cruthers in 2003, Took the Geo tracker and Floored the God-Dammned thing. We were supposed to take a tent but I forgot it. Slept in the Tracker and outside for two weeks. No couches.Got to see the Rockies, the plains and hike to our heart's content, my travels haven't been the same since.I have used couchsurfing as a doorway to the world. I have surfed across the US and South America and hosted when I can in New York City and Colorado.
Interests
I tend to live a split-live between my two passions: music and the outdoors. l've had the liberty lately to take long breaks from work and have been traveling as much as I can, and spending time in the mountains

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Watched the sun set in Tepozlan, MX over a small town with the sounds of the people and the animals, and machinery rising into the warm night sky. The peak was steep and everything was in earshot. Cars Rattling like tin cans down the cobblestone streets. Roosters and accordions. It was then that I realized the global nature of the sound we make as human beings, how it rises from our establishments and buzzes around our existence.
