CURRENT MISSION
Learn what I can, when I can, and always do my best
ABOUT ME
Hallo!
I'm currently living in Germany, working and trying to enjoy a window of relatively low responsibility with being as active as I can.
I’m figuring out my next chapter in life. Maybe some travel or hosting would help invite new ideas, or stir up old ones :).
New York-raised, but I've left for Europe 4 times and Asia twice so far. Started learning more languages than one has fingers, and have succeeded in most things at becoming mediocre at best. I can share my energy and enthusiasm and silliness as long as I feel safe, and I can accompany almost anyone on an adventure as long as I'm not repelled by their mental focus, word use, energy, or however one exudes what is in their heart and mind.
Former Seasonal Park ranger, currently swing dancer, chemist by schooling, outdoors enthusiast by natural interest. Climbing sometimes, currently also participating in the local Floorball club.
PHILOSOPHY
Not dead, can't quit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I surfed much in the past, and attempt to host now that I am in a large apartment with other open-minded, interested people in my life who I can invite others to meet and share with.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couchsurfing has been a community that I have trusted through almost every interaction and participated in a multitude of activities, and to me has always been building in interpersonal interactions and small groups which have been at times been incredibly life-affirming, intimate, and overwhelmingly positive and invigorating. Largely in my experience, spontaneity in actions when being hosted or hosting have been hilarious, adrenaline pumping, warm and touching, eye-opening, and/or thought-provoking. I have had 99% positive experiences and it has almost always come from positive intention, trust, and co-creation ( yes, it's a little 'hippy-dippy', but CS is where I have really felt the love).
Interests
I have at least a basic understanding of the languages previously listed, with German, no wait Czech, hold on.... Mandarin... no now it's French.... yes French being the focus now. I welcome any opportunity to learn/practice other languages.
Dancing has been primarily focused on Swing, though I have experience in Blues, Salsa, tango, Waltz, Russian folk in decending level of expertise, and took part in an opera with Flamenco, so there's that. I have learned the basic for rumba, two-step, merengue, cumbia, hustle, fox trot, country swing, and have enjoyed contra dancing and square dancing.
I love getting outdoors, so hiking, rock climbing, trail-building, farming, construction in almost all its forms, running, acroyoga, skiing, tree climbing, water sports ( not yet a successful water skier). I particularly enjoy jumping into cold water, I have noticed.
otherwise I enjoy yoga, cycling, carpentry, and decided to start learning chess more seriously.

Teach, Learn, Share
This is mostly written above and below ;)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share authors works I've read and what I've learned, I can suggest operas I've seen or read and musicians I've listened to. I can explain general and organic chemistry principles, talk philosophy, spar and drill jiu-jitsu. I can teach you swing dancing or go for a hike with you. I can teach you basic words in over half a dozen languages and some grammar or phonetic rules and many, many resources/ companies I subscribe to. I can fly or base for acroyoga ( not super well, but I have fun with it anyway). I can role play if you're an actor, discus some musicals if you're into that sorta thing. I can cook and show you some easy recipes that are both healthy and delicious. I can tell a joke. I can give well-appreciated massages. I can give you my undivided attention and be very flexible in relation to your plans ( certainly if I'm surfing). In Konstanz I can show you my favorite places, or tell you where I would go if I had 1, 2, or 3 days, and change it based on your interests, I can invite you to dances, meet-ups with friends and co-workers.
