About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Getting involved!

ABOUT ME

Lived my whole life in Melbourne, Australia. Absolutely love New Zealand and have been there more than enough times. Also been to Indonesia; the locals are so chilled and nice when you get to know them. I fell in love with Singapore and I found Malaysia to be an awesome country.

I'm on this website so I can meet like minded people.

PHILOSOPHY

You get out what you put in.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've attended events mostly, but I also find that carpooling people when I am on a road trip is a good way to learn about different cultures and experiences whilst also getting somebody somewhere.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Mostly through events and carpooling people.

I can't host in my current living arrangements.

Interests

Passionate commuting cyclist - I have two bikes, which I use depending on the situation, one for transporting myself and goods (with a basket) and one as a folding bike for transport on buses, trams and long distance travel.
I love all food - I like to try the most unique item on the menu, not a super fan of spicy though.
OpenStreetMap - The Wikipedia of maps and your source for offline maps when you're travelling around.
Geocaching - A real life "easter egg".

Music, Movies, and Books

Movie: Mao's Last Dancer.
Music: Anything; maybe you can play your music in my car haha.
Books: Harry Potter series are my most favourite.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Tandem bungy jumping, paragliding, parasailing, jetboating, luging and hiking all in NZ.
The best experience I've so far is cross country skiing for a week in alpine Victoria. The final day we skied out pre-dawn in complete darkness (with headlamps) and arrived in Falls Creek at dawn; it was eerie, beautiful (because all the stars were out) and unforgettable.

Teach, Learn, Share

Use Skype WiFi when travelling so you can connect to a paid internet connection for 5 minutes for 50c, rather than having to connect for an unused hour for $7.

Countries I’ve Visited

Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, Laos, New Zealand
