About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Spreading peace and music would be cool. I'm trying to learn about everything around me to get a better world view :-)

ABOUT ME

I love music and philosophy a lot. I am really trying to solve life, I know it's quite a difficult problem. I like renewable energies and and open minded people. Meditation is quite cool and I cannot wait to find people to JAM!!!!

PHILOSOPHY

If everyone strived for a complete understanding and balance and didn't settle for less, this world would be a hell of a better place. International travel and living is one of the best ways to expand your views and learn from others

Music, Movies, and Books

1984 by George Orwell
Musicophilia by Oliver Sacks
Old Chinese Poetry like Li Po, Wang Wei, Po Chui
Rober Frost quote: "I am not a teacher, I am an awakener."

Grateful Dead, Jimi, Janis, ok a bunch of hippies... Miles Davis, Bill Monroe, Wayne Shorter, James Brown, Bob Marley, John Mclaughlin, Billy Cobham, George Porter Jr, Sublime, Slightly Stoopid, Jerry Garcia, Chris Thile, Del McCoury, Yonder Mountain String Band, Mos-Def, Ludacris, Lupe Fiasco, Snoop D-O-doubleG, The Roots...and so on

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-I stood on the Great Wall of China and couldn't find a bathroom after the hike, so......there was a moment full of pride
-Big Bend National Park backpacking, it borders the US and Mexico.
-Greyfox Bluegrass Festival is like heaven on earth in Oakhill, NY 3rd weekend in July
-30+ second keg stand
-Seeing Doc Watson, Jerry Garcia, and Mike Auldridge play before they passed away
-Realizing that the US is probably not all it says it is and realizing what it has to offer comes with the not so obvious side costs
-Watching a live Billy Cobham drum solo

Teach, Learn, Share

Learning is really easy and when it seems hard, it just means you are trying to take too big of steps too quickly. Learning is the most empowering thing we have.
-I have a technical basis to help explain fundamentals of technology. Also, I am a big fan of african off-time drumming so I can share what I know about circular rhythmic patterns. And my opinion on life :-)
-I want to become fluent in jazz theory and I am just beginning. Also in German too!

Countries I’ve Visited

China, Czech Republic, France, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, United States
