About Me

Hello! I am a 25 years old Canadian kid who never grew up, just got taller.

I like to think my life is a combination of wild enthusiasm and reserved contemplation. If you fall on either ends of this spectrum, we should get along famously! or perhaps we can meet somewhere in the middle!

I realize it's a big leap of faith bringing someone into your house and can understand reluctance to do so. However, if trust is given, so much more is given back. Whatever I write here will not establish that trust, but open communication might. Let's talk!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The world is a big beautiful place and I hope to be exposed to all of the good and the weird that comes with it...but I do not believe that authentic experiences have to come with a price tag.

You know the adage 'travel on a shoestring budget'? That's my philosophy. Smart, not stingy.

Interests

Nature, ecology, landscape design, writing, people-watching, adventure sports, and drinking & chatting until it all becomes a blur

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - 'everything' is too easy an answer...so I'm gonna say the Blues (turning deep depression into joyful expression), or Classic rock (psychedelic Sundays, oh yeah!), or Soul (mercy mercy me), or anything with a heavy low-end bass (wub wub). I'm a musical sponge so if you put on something that tickles my earbuds, you best believe the Shazam is coming out

Movies - I'll never say no to an Schwarzenegger movie (Total Recall is my pick)

Books - I'm big into the science fiction these days (Philip K Dick novels especially), though my favorite novel of all time is 'Call of the Wild' by Jack London
