Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Our world has come to a time when it is almost impossible to trust people, moreso to invite strangers to your home. The idea is just absurd and reckless. But after my very first CS experience as a host, I've learned that there are indeed kind and very interesting souls out there whom given a chance, could leave a permanent mark in your life. It opened my eyes to an entirely new and different perspective to the human being - that it should be welcomed with an open mind and a tolerant heart.

If I were to describe my couch surfing experiences in one word, I would say that it is LIBERATING.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. I have successfully BUNGEE JUMPED not just once, but twice! First was off the HIGHEST bungee platform IN THE WORLD at 233 meters above ground (Macau). Second was from a "less safe" 60 meter crane in Pattaya, Thailand. The rush of adrenaline was just AMAZING. I felt like a badass rock star after. I'll do it again and again in a whim.

2. I have SWAM WITH WHALE SHARKS! Biggest fish in the world, gentle giants, in Philippine waters. So close, I could have touched them. But I didn't.

3. I am a member of Hands-On-Manila as a volunteer - an opportunity for me to inspire children, cheer the elderly and lend a helping hand to the needy. I think it's AMAZING to be able to share my time, and in my own little way, contribute to becoming the CHANGE.

4. I was part of a Political Revolution in 2001. With hundreds of thousands of other protesters, we peacefully overthrew a corrupt leader from his seat as the President of our country.

5. I have eaten a beetle, an ant, a grasshopper, a wood worm, a silk worm, a cricket and a Madacascar cockroach and I never puked.

6. I have traveled solo...twice!

7. Me & my couch have been featured in National Geographic & in a Italian glossy magazine.
