Hello! My name is Brenden! I am from the USA, looking for intentional communities of eco-conscious individuals! I am massage therapist, permaculture gardener, and I love to help people! I have created my own small volunteer organizations in Peru focused on cleaning up plastic contamination and growing comunity gardens. I want to use my massage therapy license to help earn money for my volunteer work, and to help people with disabilities. Eventually I hope to become a permanent resident of an intentional community because sustainable opportunities are so valuable in this time as well as finding kind loving individuals.

Aside from my humanitarian efforts, I am a pretty fun and relaxed person. I'm always working on some kind of project or idea, like my solar pyrolysis reactors for making waste plastic into fuel! The greed and materialistic lifestyle of people in the USA, makes it difficult for me to fit in here, I don't like to conform. I am scientifically minded, and always open to learning more. I respect religions and other cultures, but I am athiest and I do not have interest in converting to any organized religion, mostly because I believe in scientific fact, especially evolution and climate change. I am very spiritual where mother earth is concerned and there is beauty in scientific discovery, without the need of deities to add a aspect of Wonder or psudoanswers.

It is important to note that I am in alignment with my divine feminine, and masculine characteristics, I respect the feminine as a part of myself, women are free souls and do not belong to a corrupt patriarchy. That being said f the systemic capitalist structures that seek to oppress us, feed us garbage, start wars and sow division. We are better than that!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet fun and open minded intellectuals, who can have good conversations and a good time. I am respectful of women, and do not want to be hosted by misogynistic/narcissistic men, there is already too much of that in the USA with Donald Trump and his minion's. I am interested in meeting people who have access to volunteer opportunities, and people who are interested in helping me build my own volunteer organization, so I can work with schools and local communities to help remove plastic contamination. I also want to contract volunteer work to other travelers who are interested in doing something else besides cleaning up contamination, like building houses, planting trees, and teaching English.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I know how to make many things, I am a good cook, and I also have kombucha with me to brew as a probiotic drink. I am a professional massage therapist, so I can provide therapy for hosts and guests. I can teach English and a little bit of German.
